Computer Information Systems major, Juan Herrera has been a member of Alpha Lambda Delta since the spring of 2014. Although Juan has all of his points for graduation, he has still continued to volunteer with Alpha Lambda Delta out of the kindness that resides within him.
“I joined ALD because I wanted to be more involved around campus, I wanted to meet new people, and because the organization was involved in a lot of volunteering,” wrote Juan on joining Alpha Lambda Delta. Juan’s passion for volunteering has shown since he first joined ALD. His commitment to volunteering is so important to Alpha Lambda Delta to see in their members. “I would just like to say that it is definitely a rewarding experience to be a part of ALD and getting to participate in all of the fun volunteering events that are organized for its members,” said Juan on ALD as a whole.
There has been one event that members, including Juan, have consistently favored and that was the Talons Out Honor Flight. “I have attended quite a few events with ALD,” said Juan, “However, the one that I enjoyed the most was the Talons Out Honor Flight event with Broncos for Heroes. I enjoyed it because it was great to meet some Veterans, and give them the recognition that they deserve."
When Juan isn’t volunteering with Alpha Lambda Delta, he’s busy being a member of both the Student Leadership Advisory Board for the Haworth College of Business and the Latino Student Alliance. Even though he does have other things going on, he always seems to find time for Alpha Lambda Delta.
We here at Alpha Lambda Delta are so proud to have such a passionate and involved member like Juan. Thank you for all your hard work and good luck on your future endeavors, Juan!
